The Culinary Arts program includes classroom and hands–on experiences that will prepare students for employment or continuing education in the food service industry. It incorporates the National Restaurant Associations (NRA) ProStart learning objectives. Students learn food safety, introduction to the hospitality industry, and food preparation techniques including breakfast foods, sandwiches, salads, garnishes, vegetables, baked goods, meats, and sauces. Student completers can take the NRA exam to become nationally certified. Students may join the FCCLA for competition and scholarships.
