    Under guidance from the Mississippi Department of Health, Wayne County Schools will require universal masking for all teachers, staff, students, and visitors ages 6 and up while on school campus and on buses regardless of vaccination status until further notice.

Construction/Carpentry

SkillsUSAConstruction introduces students to the fundamentals  of construction safety tools, construction math, blue prints and basic carpentry, electrical, masonry, and plumbing skills. Carpentry is the second year course consisting of the in-depth study of foundations; wall, ceiling, and room framing;  windows and doors; and stair layout. Students learn the program objectives through classroom and hands on practical experiences. Students complete the Contren Level I Certification through NCCER to become certified. SkillsUSA is the student leadership organization for competition.
