Update from School Board President Terry Graham on Progress of Clara School Reconstruction Project:

JBHM Architectural Firm (the firm that will be doing the Clara School Reconstruction) is currently in consultation with the insurance company that represents our school district to consider all necessary codes and regulations and upgrades in order to arrive at an acceptable dollar amount for this reconstruction project.  Once all necessary information has been submitted and evaluated and a dollar amount agreed upon then JBHM Architects will proceed with formulating a specific plan for reconstruction based upon recommendations and involvement from school leaders, the school board, and the community.  I appreciate the patience of all concerned as this project moves forward.

Students Attend the Recent All-District Band Auditions at JCJC
Principals,

Thank you so much for your help in getting our students to the recent All-District Band Auditions at JCJC.  It is always a big task to coordinate students and travel from five schools and I certainly appreciate all that you did to make this audition successful.  Below is a list of the students from each school that were named to the All-District Band.  This year we had over 950 students in District 5 to audition.  The All-District selections comprise 2 HS and 2 JH bands totaling 409 students.  Our students had a fantastic showing and we are looking forward to getting them to the All-District clinic on February 1-2 at JCJC.  This number of students is a far cry from the total of 3 students that we had make All-District just 15 years ago.  We may have some additions to the list below as several students are first or second alternates and may be called in to take someone's place.
