Two students from Buckatunna Elementary were selected as winners in the 2015 Pecan Festival Coloring Contest Winners. Congratulations to these students on a job well done!
On Wednesday, September 23, many of Buckatunna's 5-8 grade students participated in "See You at the Pole".
Two Buckatunna Jr. High Dance Team members performed with UDA during halftime at the Mississippi State University football game on September 19. These students represented our school very well, and we are very proud of them!
On Monday September 14, 2015 Mrs. Crocker with the Wayne County 4-H Mississippi State Extension Office visited the Buckatunna 2nd Grade STRETCH class.
Representatives from the Wayne County Extension Office visited with 4th and 5th grade students at Buckatunna. They presented the Firewise Program and taught students about preventing wildfires.
Mrs. Beard's fourth grade science students have been learning about how plants grow and reproduce. Students planted lima beans to observe the germination process.
Mrs. Griggs 8th grade pre-algebra students completed a scavenger hunt to reinforce multiple step equations. The 5th period winners are pictured.
Mrs. Gandy's students explored the history of Labor Day and made connections from the historical viewpoints of others about the holiday to a selection in the PH Literature book.
