October monthly newsletter

Well we are headed into our third month of school.  Life in JROTC is really becoming interesting.  We survived the blistering summer heat and are looking forward to some cooler temperatures.

October will see an increase in physical training activity.  I plan on increasing physical training days to two days per week.  The cadets actively sought this change from just one day.  We reviewed FM 21-20 and wil incorporate different activities and exercises to promote focus and interest in building a personal exercise plan.

The WCHS football game on October 7 is the pink-out game.  JROTC will be involved with counting and sorting the pink-out t-shirt for that game.  If enough JROTC cadets bought one, MSG Mills will wear pink camoflage to that game.

We will be involved with color-guards and employing the blow-up at football games throughout October and November.

There is an upcoming drill competition at Petal High School that is on the October calender.

Possible trips to New Orleans are in the works.

Drill evaluations and Physical training tests will be administrated beginning early in October.
