Week 28 March 2-6

Monday

  • The teacher will instruct students on the Reading for Information Skill: Atlas Entry and Magazine Article.
  • The students will complete the Critical Thinking questions on the Reading for Information section.
  • The teacher will introduce the Reading Skill: Comparing and Analyzing Authors’ Writing Styles through the reading of “Hold Fast Your Dreams—and Trust Your Mistakes,” “All,” and “Also All.”
  • The students will complete activities related to the readings such as the Vocabulary and Reading Warm Ups.

 Tuesday

  • The teacher will review the Literary Analysis and Reading Skills: Comparing and Analyzing Authors’ Writing Styles.
  • The students will complete a second read then demonstrate comprehension through the completion of the All in One Workbook pages and the Open-Book Test.
  • The teacher will introduce the skill: Writing an Analytic Response to Literature.

 Wednesday

  • The students will complete the weekly test on “Hold Fast Your Dreams—and Trust Your Mistakes,” “All,” and “Also All.”
  • The students will begin planning the first draft of their Analytic Response to Literature.

 Thursday

  •  The students will be in the computer labs to type the first draft of their Analytic Response to Literature.

Friday

  • The students will be in the computer labs to revise their first drafts and type the final draft of their Analytic Response to Literature.
