TTW display a photo on the SMART Board (Manifest Destiny).  TSW analyze the primary source.  TTW call on students to explain their interpretation of the primary source.  TTW display the term “manifest destiny” on the SMART Board.  TSW record their definition on a mini-whiteboard.  TTW display the correct definition on the SMART Board.

TSW view a short presentation (Manifest Destiny, Louisiana Purchase).  TSW complete notes and answer questions.
