 Student will review ratio’s proportions and percents

Lesson Introduction

Class will read, discuss and work practice problems to review proportions and percents. Student will choose 2 problems from each section to work as individual practice.

Test on proportions, ratios and percents. (page 224-225).

Calculator Practice

Class will view a DVD on the TI-84 calculator.

Introduction of Lesson

After viewing a DVD on the calculator the student will become familiar with how to operate the calculator by practicing pages 241-244 in the Pre GED book on calculator practice.

Students will count change from given purchases using the smart board and online cash register.

 

Learning Tasks/Activities

Use the TI-84 calculator to solve simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division problems.

Discuss and review use of the TI-84 calculator
