Senior Night/Pink Out Night
Wayne County High School will be hosting Senior Night and Pink Out Night when the War Eagles host top-ranked Hattiesburg on Friday, October 13, at War Eagle Stadium. Senior Night will begin at 6:25 p.m.
A Breast Cancer Survivors Celebration will be held before the game from 5:00-6:30 in the Star Academy building. Pizza and refreshments will be provided. Breast cancer survivors will be recognized on the field at 6:40 p.m. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
The Wayne County High School Homecoming game is set for Friday, October 27, at 7 p.m. when the War Eagles host West Harrison.
The Homecoming parade will be held on Thursday, October 26, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Homecoming festivities will begin Friday night at 6:20 p.m. at the football field. The WCHS pep rally will start at 8:15 a.m. Friday in the War Eagle Gym.
The Wayne County Band is also hosting the second annual War Eagle band reunion as former students will be able to perform at halftime. Also, this year all former dance team members will also perform at halftime.
The 1993 Class will be recognized at the beginning of halftime. They should meet at the old concession stand on the visitors side with five minutes to play in the second period.
The Wayne County High School cheerleaders will also perform at halftime with their cheer camp participants.
All former classes will be able to tailgate in the area next to the tennis courts. Each class may bring grills, food and soft drinks into the area. Tailgating will be from 4-7 p.m. Former classes may park in the side parking lot next to the school, or they may purchase a $5 parking pass in advance to park in front of the stadium. These stadium-parking passes are very limited.
