Principal's Message

PHILOSOPHY
We believe it is our responsibility to seek advice from business and industrial committees in the community in order to keep abreast of the latest economic and technical developments in the world of work and to implement changes in the curriculum as needed.  We also believe students and professional organizations should be incorporated into the learning environment so that personal, social, and leadership skills will be developed to the fullest by both students and faculty. It is our goal to develop and provide a safe and healthy environment in which to work and learn.  The faculty and staff of Wayne County Career and Technical Education Center are dedicated to this philosophy.  We feel by using it as a basis for planning, implementing, and evaluating, we can provide our students with excellent skills for the future.

PURPOSES
Career-Technical education is a balanced program of studies and work experiences having the common objective of preparing students for the world of work.  Its primary function for each student is to develop the skills, knowledge, understanding, work attitudes and habits that are necessary to enter and succeed in business or industry upon graduation from high school.

MISSION
The overall concern of career and technical training in the Wayne County School System is to provide adequate and appropriate opportunities for every students to develop to his/her fullest potential—technically, physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually.
