Principal's Message

Principal Lynn Revette

Welcome back to school after what we hope was a great summer break for all of our students. We would also like to extend a warm welcome to all new students to our school. We hope that the 2015-2016 school year is a positive experience for all.
A new school year presents opportunities for various beginnings --- new classes, new faces, sometimes new courses and always new materials. Summer vacation can always be a great healer; and as we approach the opening day of a new school year, the end-of-year pressures that plagued us in May seem quite remote and unimportant. I am extremely pleased to welcome you and your family to Buckatunna for the 2015-2016  school year. We at Buckatunna are dedicated to providing students with the best educational experiences as possible.  We realize the importance of developing in each child a sense of pride, responsibility, and self-respect.  We also realize that teaching your child is a privilege, as well as a tremendous responsibility. The entire staff at Buckatunna School will do their best this year to ensure that each student has a motivational and safe learning experience in the classroom. All of us at Buckatunna School are pleased to have you as partners in this educational undertaking and ask that you help us in any way possible at home by reading to your child, listening to your child read, or helping with homework each night.  We welcome the start of a new year with new plans, new strategies of teaching and new ideas to implement.  We can be proud of what we achieve at Buckatunna School because of the team of dedicated teachers, support staff and parents having a common goal --- to do what is best for students!  With your help and support, anything is possible. This year we must concentrate on challenging each student, teacher, and parent to be willing to put forth that extra effort that it will take to become successful in education as well as what lies beyond for all of us. With your help we will have a great school year.
