Students Present Christmas Program

All of Buckatunna's students had an opportunity to participate in Buckatunna's Annual Christmas Program held on December 13.

Students in grades K-4 delighted parents with Christmas music from around the world. Kindergarten and first grade students performed "Roo Roo the Red-Nosed Kanga," the Australian version of a beloved Christmas song. Second graders brought an island feel with the Hawaiian song "Mele Kalikimaka," and the third grade classes gave a lively rendition of "Feliz Navidad" complete with sombreros and maracas. Fourth graders performed "Silent Night" in sign language. To complete their portion of the program, all students sang the American classics "Away in a Manger", "Joy to the World", and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas". Mr. Raymond narrated the program.

5th-8th grade celebrated with students showing off their respective talents. Kate Lofton sang "All I Want for Christmas is You", and Aniya Bell and Lamont Lacey followed with "This Christmas". Lila Faith Griggs and Jada Beck perfomed a Christmas dance duet and Emma Griggs played a beautiful song on the keyboard.

Finally, the 5th-8th grade student body sang songs to accompany a skit performed by GAT students and other selected members of the student body.

Merry Christmas from everyone at Buckatunna School!
