Ms. Malone's kindergarten class had a special visitor Friday, March 2nd to celebrate Dr. Seuss birthday! Ms. Lanette Crocker from the MSU Extension Office read a story to the students that brought out ways to stay healthy. The students enjoyed the visit and had a great time interacting with the story!
P is for pumpkin! The kindergarten classes at Beat Four Elementary took a field trip to tour Mitchell Farms. Students took train rides, wagon rides to see the farm, climbed on hay bales, and picked out their own pumpkins.
Do Skittles and math go together? Sure they do! Ms. Malone's kindergarten students at Beat Four Elementary are using Skittles to practice sorting, counting and color words.
Mrs. Mcilwain's class enjoyed choosing items from nature on camo/western day during our nature walk around the campus.
Kindergarten students at Beat Four Elementary released a butterfly that had just emerged from its cocoon earlier that day in one of our PreK classrooms.
Beat Four's kindergarten classes learned about community helpers last week. We were able to view an ambulance and a firetruck when we met some of our very own community helpers. Mrs. Malone's and Mrs. McIlwain's class enjoyed the visit from Wayne General Hospital and Beat Four Volunteer Fire Department community helpers.
Ms. Malone's KinderCubs celebrated the solar eclipse by writing about what they learned, making a solar eclipse hand painting, and enjoying moonpies and Capri Suns. Here, some kindergarten students are continuing the celebration by exploring with moon sand at the sand and water table.
